If you haven’t already, read the main article: How does System function/operate

…

On April 28^th 2018 Franz Friczewski posted a new article in his blog “Technik und Mimesis” (German): Rhythm – thinking the self-movement of the living, “Rhythmus – die Eigen-Bewegung des Lebendigen denken”.

Translated from Friczewskis article: “… Living beings can be understood as systems transforming disorder into order comparable to whirls, which at the same time – in contrast to whirls and others – are capable to yield their form out of itself (= autopoiesis), or otherwise said: which continuously enter their form. The compensation of the difference between their dissipative structure and their autopoietic organization is calculated by them as (resp. in) a rhythmic movement.
Rhythm is the “connecting pattern” with which living systems establish and preserve their coherence, i. e. their inner and outer cohesion… “

Every once in a while people ask me: “What then is a system?”

As always, I would advise you to first read through the previous four articles in this series to understand the underlying structure on which these emulated autopoietic systems are based.

In Mathematik, Physik, Biologie, Geologie …

No. 4

All autopoietic systems inform themselves.

If you are interested in Systems, Cellular Automata, Universal Turing-Machines, Systems Theory, Complex Systems Theory etc. and you haven’t read about Ralf Peyns work uFORM iFORM and SelFis before, you should read these two articles:

How does System function/operate?

How does System function/operate 2

Ralfs latest experiment,

decisionFORMs, lifeFORMs, mindFORMs

is another fascinating product of this new kind of science.

Let me quote to you something from uFORM iFORM to help a little bit with what you are about to learn:

If we want to comprehend systems we have to explore them with systems. With SelFis we can illustrate the history of the states of a system. We can simulate various scenarios of development. We can analyse the self-determination and evolution of decision-systems/distinction-systems. We can learn to create sensible expectations concerning the probabilities of realization of specific processes and operations. We can try to anticipate the measuring possibilities of systems.
